Foster Art Restoration/ Pick Up the Pieces was founded in 1958 by John D. Foster. Mr. Foster combined two diverse fields, art and chemistry, to produce a wonderful new technology. He has developed numerous unique, proprietary and patented products and methods for the repair and restoration of a wide variety of art objects, collectibles and other objects.
Foster Art Restoration/Pick Up the Pieces has grown to be the nation's largest and best known restorer of art and collectibles, completing thousands of repairs each year from all over the nation. Foster Art Restoration/ Pick Up the Pieces is a member of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic works.

What Foster Art Restoration Pick Up the Pieces Does :

Thanks to new space age materials and technologies Mr. Foster developed and perfected by Foster Art Restoration, even the most severely damaged porcelain, crystal, paintings, jade, marble, ivory, and other collectibles and art objects can be repaired and restored invisibly and permanently.

Until now, the repair and restoration of collectibles and art objects was very primitive. Repairs were usually visible and the materials applied, which were only glue and paint, reduced the value of the damaged piece even further.

The Foster Art Restoration/ Pick Up the Pieces Center has changed the science of art restoration. New breakthroughs in organic and inorganic chemistry make it possible to have even severely damaged art pieces restored to their original beauty. Even missing pieces can be duplicated.

Methods :

The materials used are drawn from a variety of industries, such as aerospace, optics, composite construction. All materials, once applied are inert and non-toxic. They all meet all relevant E.P.A, OSHA and other mandated safety requirements.
